Anthony Amore, Republican candidate for Secretary of the Commonwealth, today released the following statement in response to a report in The Boston Globe that Secretary Galvin has misused taxpayer-funded public employees to engage in campaign activities to advance his political career.
"Secretary Galvin's flagrant abuse of public employees to advance his own political career is a stunning breach of the public trust, given that he is charged with administering the Commonwealth's elections. It's a clear example of the need for fresh leadership in the Office of the Secretary of State," said Anthony Amore. "Not only has the Secretary schemed to run his campaign on the backs of the taxpayers, he has also refused to provide the public with answers to basic questions about the extent of this wrongdoing. This incident is a clear example of the need to clean house and replace the insider culture that Galvin has created."
