AMORE SUPPORTS VOTING AS RIGHT OF CITIZENSHIP

Why is Galvin Silent on Zakim's Noncitizen Voting Policy?
July 10, 2018

BOSTON - Anthony Amore is the only candidate for Secretary of State to publicly oppose the proposal to allow noncitizens to vote in City of Boston elections. So far, incumbent Democrat Bill Galvin has remained silent on the proposal being pushed by his primary opponent, the left-leaning Josh Zakim, to allow noncitizens to vote.

"Voting is a right and privilege of citizenship in our nation, and this proposal draws a sharp contrast between Anthony Amore, who supports a secure democracy and elections, and his Democratic opponents who are willing to undermine the integrity of our elections to seek political gain," said P.J. Farrenkopf, Amore's campaign manager. "Anthony Amore will do more to encourage immigrants to earn their citizenship and the right to vote while his Democratic opponents appear willing to give it away as a door prize."
